Movies and Series — February 2019
Movies and series I’ve watched during February 2019
Vice (8/10)
A brutal movie. Well written script on how language and laws were bent to make USA people accept a tyranny, just to make some people richer. Amazing performances. Bale, Adams and Rockwell always top.
Luther S5 (8/10)
Quite dramatic through all the series, with a couple of unexpected turns. Keeps up with the saga.
The Favourite (8/10)
Fantastic performances. Good dialogues and story. Great movie overall.
A star is born (7/10)
Excellent Gaga and Cooper. She surprised me. Where other singers failed on Hollywood, she just nailed it. Easy movie, great performances.
BlacKkKlansman (6/10)
Good message and some funny moments. Tries to tackle the nazi/racism in USA, but doesn’t do it very well. I felt the same with Monument man. You either do a funny movie about a serious issue, or do a serious movie about the issue. But can’t have both, it doesn’t feel right.
The Green Book (6/10)
Easy and entertaining story about racism in the 60’s USA.
Roma (5/10)
Drama in the 70’s Mexico. Amazing 5 minutes shoots from Cuaron. He is always excellent, but the movie is not
Bumblebee 2018 (4/10)
Fantastic and amazingly good soundtrack. Didn't expect to find something that good in a transformers movie. One of the best of the series, still quite bad.
The Good Place S3 (4/10)
Went down and down. Started as a good and simple idea, but boring and not well executed at the end.
The Punisher S2 (4/10)
Became soft, boring and very predictable. Nothing surprising.
You (2/10)
Awful acting and story. 10 episodes of 2nd hand embarrassment of how bad it is.
