Movies and Series — June 2019
Movies and series I’ve watched during June 2019
Note: As in Black Mirror series all episodes are different and unrelated to others, I will rate them separately
Chernobyl (9/10)
Amazingly well made series about the Chernobyl accident.
Black Mirror S4E01 — USS Callister (9/10)
Intense story of a VR video game based on the original Star Trek series and the USS Enterprise.
Black Mirror S4E05 — Metalhead (8/10)
Feels like a short Philip K. Dick story. Leaves you wanting more of that world.
Black Mirror S4E02 — Crocodile (8/10)
A tense dark story. It builds up like Breaking Bad.
Black Mirror S5E02 — Smithereens (7/10)
Drama about a kidnapping in UK, involving a Silicon Valley social media app.
End of watch (6/10)
Rough police movie based in Los Angeles. The story is told from a POV view at some points. Makes it look like a cops show.
Black Mirror S5E01 — Striking Vipers (6/10)
A newly discovered relationship between two friends inside a video game, and how that affects their daily life.
Black Mirror S5E03 — Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too (6/10)
Miley is an amazing actress. Easy story where she plays an alternative version of herself and the relationship with her manager.
Black Mirror S5E03 — Hang the DJ (6/10)
Interesting story about a dating system. Good build up. Could’ve been better.
Black Mirror S4E02 — Arkangel (4/10)
Story about a parental control implant. Good idea, not well developed.
Limitless S01 (4/10)
Based on the movie with the same title. Predictable, easy and makes you company. Some episodes have a touch of different themes, but the characters are not charismatic enough to make this work.
