Movies and Series — March 2019
Movies and series I’ve watched during March 2019
Spider-man, into the spider verse (9/10)
Amazing. It’s been a while since I enjoyed something this good. Could’ve easy won best movie for the Oscars 2019, not only the best animation picture. Enjoyed every moment from this comic came to live, literally.
After Life (8/10)
Though drama about cancer, death and suicide. The dark humour helps, but be aware to expect soul crushing moments.
The Standoff At Sparrow Creek (7/10)
Good atmosphere and dialogues during all movie. Easy story about militias and guns in USA. Good idea, it could’ve been easily better.
Captain Marvel (6/10)
Expected to be worse. Quite entertaining and gap filling. Very good soundtrack and empowering message.
Homeland S6 (6/10)
More predictable than previous series. Good and entertaining to watch.
Beautiful boy (6/10)
History of a father with a teenage boy addicted to drugs. Good acting, regular story.
Big Bang Theory S11 (5/10)
As good as any other season.
Ralph Breaks The Internet (5/10)
Entertaining. It’s a very well thought and original world. Lots of Easter eggs and cameos. Shows a good example of a male toxic relationship, but doesn’t deal properly with it.
Hunter Killer (5/10)
Alright action movie about a submarine crew.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald (4/10)
Boring. Second movie of the trilogy. Doesn’t add anything to the first one. Unnecessary, and can only be appreciated if you are a Harry Potter universe fan.
Triple frontier (3/10)
The trailer has all the action and interesting moments of the movie. Could’ve been something like Sicario. It isn’t.
Widows (3/10)
Secondary characters are more powerful than main ones. Good cast in a bad movie.
Robin Hood 2018 (3/10)
A poor new version of the classic. There was no need or demand to do a remake (a part from the commercial one). Lands far from Costner’s and Freeman’s version.
