Movies and Series — October 2019
Movies and series I’ve watched during October 2019
Succession S2 (9/10)
Again, amazing. Succession is like watching an accident about to happen. You can’t turn your eyes from it. Brutal portrait of a family who owns a multi conglomerate media business.
Joker 2019 (9/10)
Phoenix resurrects DC from the ashes and lifts Joker to the skies with the best performance of the year. Sorry, DiCaprio, this is not your year, again.
Top Boy S3 (8/10)
If you couldn’t keep up with The Wire, this is the British version with more rhythm and less points of view. Pretty good soundtrack. After finishing it, realised it was the third season.
Money Heist S1 (4/10)
Too predictable. Too many surrealist situations. Entertaining, but not enough. The use of so many cliches from other heist and bank robbery movies brings the whole thing down.
Night Hunter (4/10)
A thriller you will predict from miles. Nothing worth remembering.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie (4/10)
More like El Camino: A bad movie based on Breaking Bad. Totally unnecessary and boring. Someone made some good money milking an already good and well-rounded series. Amazed that for once isn’t Disney exploiting it. And if you do, at least do it right or bring something interesting to the table, like Better Call Saul.
Money Heist S2 (3/10)
Going down. More cheesy scenes and lots of BS.
Semper Fi (3/10)
Seen it before. Just a bad, cheese and simple plot about a marine who kills someone, gets convicted and the rest of the squad tries to release him from prison.
